Benidorm has won an almost worldwide known reputation, and a well-deserved one, since this city has everything to offer. The Sun and its beaches can be two good reasons to visit it, but there are many more. It doesn’t matter your age or country: you’ll find your place at Benidorm.
The municipal area offers a successful combination of different leisure options. Have a great day at one of the amusement parks, such as Terra Mítica, Mundomar, Terra Natura or Aqualandia. Or try water sports; Benidorm is the perfect place for all water sport beginners. Those who are scuba diving enthusiasts will love a wonderful dive site called “La Isla”, which is full of rich sea life, just two miles from the municipal area’s harbour.

the old town hall is located. Walking along the small side streets, like “El carrer dels gats”, will get you a feeling of the town’s seafaring past. To have a wonderful view over the sea that bathes its coasts, come and have a look from the “Balcón del Mediterráneo”, a big rock that separates two beaches: Poniente and Levante- one of the most amazing looking points of the area.
So as to save some energy for later, public transportation to get around Benidorm is highly recommended. All different areas are quite well connected. There’s also bus service to some of the not-to-miss nearby villages, such as Alfàs del Pi, Guadalest or Altea.
When it is time to stop and fill an empty stomach, Benidorm is a place of wide gastronomic variety, suiting different tastes and pockets. Some of the typical dishes you can’t miss are: arroz a banda (rice with fish) and cazuela de pescado ( fish casserole)…you’ll find it’s really worth saving a bit to indulge yourself! And for dinner, visit “El Paseo de la Carretera”, a very recommended spot full of pubs and bars with a good choice of the best “tapas” from where to start a long, long night.
If at daytime Benidorm can be a hectic place, after sunset it gets more and more lively. All tastes and colours meet at this place: having a drink, watching a show or dancing all night through... Some of the best areas are the old town, the pubs at Esperanto street, discos on Levante Beach, the British area or some big clubs as Penélope, KM or El Divino. Still want some more?
