If shopping is your downfall, at Benidorm we’re sure you won’t be able to resist the temptation to shop at one of the more than 2,000 shops of all kinds, from souvenir shops to fashion stores.
The best area to go shopping is el Paseo de la Carretera, which can be compared to a big shopping centre on the street: the most popular fashion brands, shoe shops, leather shops, and accessories shops are here.
If you’re looking for something more original, go for a walk around the old town streets, where you’ll find all kind of gifts, hand-crafted items and anything you can imagine… we’re sure you’ll find something, or, at least, have a good time window-shopping, which can also be a pleasant experience.
The most irresistible area is the Avenida del Mediterráneo, where hardware stores and corner shops stuff their windows with a thousand tempting items. Absolutely anything you need is there: a rubber ring, those flip-flops matching your beach towel, a mini-radio to take to the beach….anything!
For more shopping options, check La Marina Shopping Centre, at a nearby village called El Finestrat. Bus routes 12 and 14 will take you there. Besides purchasing all you need, you can also watch a movie or go bowling. |

If you are mad about shopping and you enjoy bargaining, looking but not knowing what you’ll find, lots of people crowded together in a small place... we’re sure you’ll love a visit to one of Benidorm’s flea markets:
Wednesdays and Sundays, it takes place the Mercadillo del Pueblo, at Avenida del Almirante Bernat de Sarriá. On Wednesdays it’s also time for the Mercadito de Foietes, near Benidorm’s sport city. The Mercado del Cisne takes place on Saturday and Sunday morning next to Camping Benisol, which is close to the A-road. Besides all kind of unusual items, it also offers live music.
And don’t forget that if you come to Benidorm in Summer time, you can have a look at Benidorm’s annual Craft Fair, the Muestra de Artesanía, that takes place at the Plaza de la Señoría (close to the castle viewpoint) from the 15th of June until the 15th of September. You’ll simply love it |
